Comedy hypnotist Grant Saunders has once again been on the move, bringing mind-bending entertainment and powerful suggestions to stages and screens across the UK. With a week that spanned Newquay, Bridlington, and St Ives, plus live streams, new tech setups, and fresh hypnotherapy content, it’s safe to say Grant continues to prove why he’s one of the most dynamic names in the world of stage hypnosis.
On the Road: Three Cities, Endless Laughter
Grant kicked off the week with a return to a familiar favourite — a buzzing holiday park in Newquay, Cornwall. “It’s always a friendly crowd,” he said, having performed there regularly through the years. Although Tuesday’s audience started out reserved, standout volunteers helped bring the show to life, especially during the crowd-favourite “rockstar” routine, which had the stage shaking with energy.
From there, it was up to Bridlington, another regular spot on Grant’s tour circuit. Despite a small hiccup with a new camera setup (only the first 20 minutes of the show were recorded), the atmosphere was electric. Grant wrapped the night, dashed back to the office, and just made it in time for his weekly livestream, Hypno News Live, hosted with Canadian hypnotist Shawn Kostiuk.
The weekend brought him down south again to St Ives, where there were early nerves about attendance — but those worries were quickly put to rest. “I thought it was going to be a quiet one, but the volunteers absolutely delivered,” Grant said. “Some real stars stepped forward.” That included Dennis, a returning audience legend who also stole the show last year for his 50th birthday. “He’s practically part of the cast now,” Grant joked.
Evolving Inductions: Speed, Style, and Stagecraft
While most audiences only see the laughter and routines, Grant is constantly adjusting and refining what happens behind the curtain. This week, that meant exploring new group induction techniques — specifically blending a magnet arm with a balloon visualisation. “Rapids are great, but they can drag when you’ve got a full stage,” he explained. “This method is visual, engaging, and gets people into the experience quicker.”
The new approach is all about enhancing flow and keeping the audience immersed in the hypnotic energy — a key trait of Grant’s high-impact performance style.
Soundscapes & Social Media Suggestions
In another creative tweak, Grant has been experimenting with musical sound beds during the show’s pre-talk and induction phases. “It adds a layer of depth and drama,” he said. “Makes even the quiet moments feel like part of the show.”
He’s also turning to his social media followers for inspiration — asking them to suggest improv-style routines. “It keeps the content fresh and makes the audience feel part of the journey,” Grant said. “Some of the best ideas come from people watching at home.”
Slowing Down to Speed Up
Between shows, Grant carved out rare downtime with a walk along the beach in St Ives. “Sometimes you’re so busy performing, travelling, editing, and live streaming — it’s easy to forget you’re in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK,” he said.
The quiet moment sparked new energy for his mindset coaching work and hypnotherapy product line, including a new live event titled “Unstuck” aimed at helping people move past their mental blocks. “The stage show is fun, but the real transformation happens afterwards — in the quiet moments.”
Building the Brand On-the-Go
Grant also assembled a full on-the-road streaming kit, allowing him to film behind-the-scenes content, capture golden moments from each show, and create short-form content for YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. “Every show has that one moment you wish you’d caught on camera,” he said. “Now I can.”
That investment is already paying off — with YouTube views and subscriber counts steadily climbing. “It’s all about consistency and capturing the stuff people don’t usually see.”
